Hello, my name is Janis Sulcs.
My artist career, I probably started at age two when I drew my first color picture in the my mom's passport. Then of course followed by the experiments - drawing on anything, but finaly I stoped my choice on paper, as it turned out - the choice was correct.
Imagine, I doing something else – it's impossible.
I have been illustrating books for children since 1991 (my first paid illustration). After studies the Riga Applied Art College in 1980-87 (except 1984-86 – service in the Red Army), I tried various professions – designer, cartoonist, art director in newspaper and finaly as small design company owner (last 10 years).
Now I working as a freelance artist, creating mostly children's book illustrations.
I have over 20 years of experience illustrating everything from small advertising illustrations to human portrait and landscape painting and would love the opportunity to work for you.
